ABOUT...
The Full Story
In 2021, I had a great idea and I wanted to share my idea with as many people as I could. It occurred to me that the best way to convey my ideas would be to produce a blog on the many diverse lifestyles of Montanans. Hence, the genesis of Black In Bozeman. A place where people can come and read all about my life in Montana. I recently moved from the east coast to join my life partner in Montana. Moving to the Rocky Mountains ignited something creative within me. The landscape, mountainous terrain, stars at night, local food, and working ranches all work in tandem to give visitors and resident's alike abundant splendor. I fell in love.

I am a graduate of Montclair State University located in Upper Montclair, NJ, after having earned a full academic scholarship to Montclair I went on to earn a BA in English Literature. Montclair is also the Alma mater of famed actor, Bruce Willis and the former Real Housewife of Beverly Hills actress, Camille Grammer. With aspirations of entering law school that didn't work out, I went on to become a Child Advocate with C.A.S.A. a national organization that gives a "voice" in family courts for children placed in foster care. After ending my tenure with C.A.S.A. I was hired to assist the Vice President of The Washington Times. I moved from NJ to Washington, DC and after working 6 months, my former boss approached me about writing creative content for a new subsidiary magazine The Washington Times would be publishing called Washington's Finest. The Finest was a lifestyle publication that featured the best of the best from Washington DC (DMV) area. I've long held an affinity for writing and producing creative content, and that new opportunity allowed me to hone those skills and produce many great pieces, one of which was with the late Larry King of CNN. I am proud of my many published works. Once the mortgage crisis hit in 2008, many publications folded due to loss of advertising revenue. Washington's Finest did not survive the crisis and I went on to give United Airlines 5 years of service as a flight attendant, a wonderful time in my life, too, as I mapped out and executed a strategy to see the world. My solo travels have taken me to eastern Europe's Bulgaria, Japan, China, France, Spain, Holland, and Chile.

It's the wonderful residents of Montana that will fuel my creativity for this blog. Whether it be visiting a local restaurant, ski resort, hot springs, or a Native American reservation, I want to share it all and so much more with you, the reader!
